About Temple Beth-El

The mission of Temple Beth-El is to enrich it's members' lives through worship, education, celebration, and community involvement in accordance with Reform Jewish values and tradtions.

Temple Beth-El is a Reform Jewish congregation established in South Bend, Indiana, in 1905. Since its founding more than 100 years ago, Temple Beth-El has remained a house of worship, a place of study, and a center of friendship. In conjunction with its affiliate organizations, the
Temple Sisterhood and Temple Brotherhood, Temple offers diverse programs that bring the meaning of Judaism to its members and to the community at large. Temple Beth-El enhances the meaning and enjoyment of Jewish life, enriching the experience of all who join us.

Additionally, Rose Hill Cemetery is wholly owned and operated by Temple Beth-El. Rights of interment are restricted to members of Temple Beth-El and their immediate families, and burial rites require oversight by the Rabbi of Temple Beth-El. For a short fact sheet about Rose Hill Cemetery please go to the History page on this website.
